Events

The PTO organizes many different and fun events throughout the year to not only help raise money for the school but provide a fun experience for the families of Copper Creek. Here is a list of some of our regular events and programs. We always welcome volunteers at all events.

If you are interested in getting involved or volunteering at an event, please email us at coppercreekpto@gmail.com.

Movie Nights

August 23, 6-8 PM, Kung Fu Panda 4.
May 16, 6-8 PM, (Movie TBD) and Yearbook release

Twice a year (Fall and Spring) we enjoy an all-ages movie in the MPR room. Bring a blanket and some chairs while you enjoy a movie and help raise money for Copper Creek. Pizza, popcorn, and snacks will be on sale.

*This is not a drop-off event*

Hawk Walk

September 13th, 8-10 AM

Hawk Walk is our MAIN fundraiser of the year, and ALL profits go directly to help the school. Students show their school spirit as they walk a pre-set course around the school field. Family and friends are encouraged to give a donation to support their students. Plenty of local celebrities, families, and local supporters are on hand to cheer students on.

Restaurant nights

Several times throughout the school year, an Oro Valley restaurant partners with Copper Creek to raise money for the school. On a specified day and time, families can dine in or take out, and the restaurant will give a percentage of those sales back to the PTO. It’s a fun night to see friends out at dinner and a GREAT excuse not to cook!

Fall Carnival & Safety Fair

October 25, 4-7 PM

This is a huge fall event of Halloween-themed fun, inflatables, game booths, a haunted house, a picture spot, a costume contest, and cake walks. Food and treats will be for sale.

Rodeo Dance

February 7th, 6-8 PM

Students and their families can dance the night away at our very popular evening dance. Great music, refreshments, and a photo booth are just a few of the reasons to put your dancing shoes on. Volunteers are needed to decorate, sell food, and help monitor the event.

Book Fair

Dates TBD

Encourage your kiddos to read more with this week-long book sale. We typically have two book fairs a year, in the fall and spring. Look out for dates and times for kids and their families to come to browse and buy new books featuring a wide range of genres and reading levels. Volunteers are needed to set up and man registers during the event.

Staff Appreciation

November 15
May 2

Several times a year we like to show our teachers and staff how much we value them. This year we’ve planned a welcome back lunch, holiday time coffee cart, Teacher Appreciation Week gifts, and end-of-school-year lunch.
